Garland Open & Jammie Hilton’s Hilcrest Classic

It has been a while since my last blog. I have been extremely busy last few months in many different ways and I did not have much time to do things that I usually do. I have played in four more Adams Golf Pro Tour Series tournaments since then as well finished my MBA studies.

Right after I came back after SW Louisiana Open and missing more than two weeks of school I had to play catch up with my school assignments. My instructors at Cameron were very understanding of my situation but I still had too much work to make up in very little time. As a result everything else had to be cut short. My whole daily routine changed, I had zero time for my hobbies, I had no time to go work out and I was not able to spend much time practicing. And even when I practiced I had school on my mind so my focus was no where it should have been.

The first two out of the four tournaments were Garland Classic and Jammie Hilton’s Hilcrest Classic. With very little time to practice before the tournaments I played poorly and missed the cut the first tournament. I also did not enjoy the course at all and I think I will not be coming back to that tournament if it is held at the same course. At the Jammie Hilton’s Hilcrest Classic I played lot better. The conditions were very tough making the tough layout even more difficult. I got the worse draw this tournament when it comes to tee times. The first day I played in the morning when the wind was strong while it died down in the afternoon and the second day it picked up in the afternoon when I was playing. I made the cut right on the number while majority of the players that made it came from the opposite wave.

The week that I got back from these tournaments it was finals week followed by the graduation. Everything worked out great in school and I graduated from Cameron University on May 6th with a Master of Business Administration degree. My parents flew in from Slovakia and then we took a vacation together in the United States. Vacation was great but once again I was not able to put in the time that I needed every day.
